Keep Franklin County Beautiful, Inc. is pleased to present the 2004 Annual White Glove Awards. The White Glove Awards recognize individuals and organizations that support and promote litter prevention, recycling, waste reduction, and beautification efforts in Franklin County.
The White Glove Awards program encourages continuing efforts to develop positive community activities and promote public/private partnerships that strive to improve solid waste management.
Keep Franklin County Beautiful, Inc. welcomes this opportunity to publicly recognize those individuals who are working toward responsible solid waste solutions.
To be eligible for a White Glove Award, a program or activity must address at least one of the following:
Educate the community and actively promote responsible solid waste handling attitudes.
Include activities that encourage the purchase of products with recycled content.
Include activities that reduce litter and encourage recycling.
Work to create a clean, beautiful environment.

Category Selection
Beautification
For individuals, civic groups, businesses, schools or local governments that beautify a public area within Franklin County. Photographs are an advantage.
Buy Recycled
For individuals, civic groups, businesses, schools or local governments that, in an effort to actively buy recycled products, promote the purchasing of products containing recycled content and/or produce or manufacture goods made with post consumer recycled content.
Polished Apple
For individuals, teams of teachers, or schools who develop a comprehensive education program or activity emphasizing recycling, waste reduction and litter prevention.
Recycling
For individuals, civic groups, businesses, schools or local governments that promote recycling as an alternative to disposal of solid waste materials.
Litter Prevention
For individuals, civic groups, businesses, schools or local governments that demonstrate ongoing support of litter prevention programs and/or beautification efforts.
Waste Management
For commercial and industrial organizations, businesses or unions that achieve substantial waste reduction at the source.
